Sareb launches campaign to target overseas buyers with 1,400 coastal homes

Sareb has launched the ‘Spain, ready to move in’ campaign via which it aims to sell 1,429 homes to potential overseas buyers looking to purchase coastal property in Spain.

The homes are mainly located on the Mediterranean coast, with 661 homes in the Region of Murcia, 192 in the province of Alicante, 190 in Castellón, 27 in Valencia, 121 in Tarragona, and 50 in Barcelona. In Andalusia, Sareb aims to meet overseas buyer demand by offering 115 homes in Almería, Huelva and Cádiz. The campaign also features 60 properties located across the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and Cantabria.

The properties included in the campaign are all detailed on the microsite SarebSpainIsReady.com, where all the information can be found in Spanish, English, French, Italian, German and Danish. There is a property description displaying key data and photos for each home, as well as a telephone number and a registration form, to put you in contact with the sales agent.

The most expensive home in the campaign is located in the town of Selva in Mallorca, and has an asking price of EUR715,000 – a nine-bed 250 sqm property with, ten bathrooms, a living-room dining-room, kitchen and terrace. While, the most affordable home is located in La Unión (Murcia) and is on the market for EUR33,600.

With this campaign Sareb is targeting international investors, mainly Europeans, who are interested in buying holiday or retirement homes.

Real estate indicators corroborate that there is a need to cater for this market, as overseas buyers purchasing second homes on the coast has been steadily rising in recent years. At the end of 2018, the Property Registry Statistics published by the Property Registrar’s Association for Land, Property and Business highlighted that with 65,400 homes bought and sold, international buyers accounted for 12.67% of the total amount of home purchases.
